Apartment dwellers across Canberra can now check whether their building supports EV charging, thanks to a new public register launched by the ACT branch of AEVA.

The register currently lists 22 strata complexes around Canberra. These complexes take a range of approaches to providing EV charging. Some buildings allow individual charging outlets to be wired back to the meters of individual units. Other buildings provide a small number of dedicated, shared charging points, often managed by a third-party operator who bills the user and reimburses the body corporate for the electricity used.

The register is compiled from information provided by AEVA members, owners corporations or their strata managers, and public sources such as PlugShare. AEVA invites information about any further sites that could be added to the listing. AEVA encourages users to confirm details directly with owners corporations, as information may change over time.
