  • AEVA to Treasurers: Get the RUC right

    Ahead of a meeting of state and territory Treasurers with their federal counterpart, Dr Jim Chalmers, the AEVA is calling for any road user charge (RUC) to be universal and mass-multiplied.


  • AEVA calls for unrestricted access to EV technical information

    Treasury is undertaking a review of the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme. AEVA made a submission to this review in which it advocated that technical information for motor vehicle repairs should be as accessible as possible to repairers and to vehicle owners at minimal cost. It also urged that the Scheme should not be used as an indirect means of restricting who can work on EVs.


  • E-rideables: Don't ban them, license them!

    The AEVA has made a submission to the West Australian parliamentary inquiry into e-rideables calling for any high-speed e-bikes to be licensed as mopeds or motorcycles, rather than an outright ban.
