Renew Brisbane Branch : EV Charging and Solar PV Solutions for Apartment Dwellers
The Renew Brisbane Branch is organising a seminar for Mon 17-Mar-2025 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm called "EV Charging and Solar PV Solutions for Apartment Dwellers". It covers topics that cross over into the Electric Vehicle space.
• An overview of challenges for apartment blocks seeking sustainability solutions (Mark Tranter).
• A case study of a 65-unit South Brisbane apartment block (Olympia on Russell) that has successfully installed 20 kW of solar PV on the roof (for common property) and affordable NOX Energy individualised 10 amp or 15 amp EV charging points for existing EV owners (Phil Alford).
• Another case study of an 18-unit Bulimba apartment block (Waterline Crescent Apartments) which provides 40 kW of solar PV energy shared equally between residents and the Body Corporate (Allume System) and future EV charging for individual units (Lester Robinson).
• Where to next? Political lobbying? Grant money? Community batteries?
